Nerang River

Returned to this spot for a quick fish approaching sunset. With the cooler days of winter here the bream are starting to show up in large numbers. It’s not a bad view looking across the Nerang River towards the Hi-Rises of Surfers Paradise

It’s not to bad a view and is close to home. I still need to find another spot to break the angles up a bit.

    Gorgeous color!

  • drec replied

You can get some interesting colours through the reflections/buildings. Everyday can be different, except today was the same as this.

This is stunning, Derek. You will have to tell me where that spot is. I’ve been trying to get a view like this for ages.:)

  • drec replied

There’s a stretch of sand from the Cheveron Island Bridge up to the Rowers Club – well on a low tide. Here is good for all tides and some days you’ll have the rowers to shoot to.

Thank you. I’ll check it out over the next few days on my days off. I’d better check the tides first. If I get washed away I’ll definitely be front page news.(haha)

this is a very nice long exposure. The composition is working very well. good job.

  • drec replied

Cheers. Around the 30seconds on the exposure, during the week there’s less boat traffic which makes it easier.
