Awesome shot. Love the light in the mid-section creating a juxtaposition with the more prevalent dark colorations and the lightening bolt. How did you time it so exactly for the bolt?

Wow this is great the grey cloud is floating like some spaceship and the lightening. The last storm we had a couple of weeks ago my son and I stood under the clothes hoist taking some photos until I suggested we get out from under. He took a really good one with the lightening flashing. Need a cupper.

Awesome photo mate! As for your question about winter light shows where I am its usually about 3 or each year if you include late autumn . This has been a good year for them been about 5 so far.
