This is my first journal entry on Redbubble.
I have spent most of the past year in a secluded environment at my cottage in the Cohutta Wilderness Area of North Georgia. It is a magnificent area of over 100,000 acres.
The last six months I have worked building a large garage, workshop and studio. During that time I have only picked up the camera to document the construction. This has been the longest time span in my adult life I have not produced artwork.
The focus of doing fairly heavy construction from dawn to dark was an unintended deconstruction of my creative mindset and gave way to this project “The Prime Meridian.”
Aside from getting into fine physical condition (an unplanned but welcomed secondary accomplishment) I hope this experience results in a new and substantive way I capture images.
