What can one say.

I am now back from a 5 week trip to the UK.
To the people on Red Bubble from the UK, I must say that you are the luckiest people around. History, you have it all. My jaw dropped at the beuty and thespectacle of what is there. To stand on top of the Iron age hill at Danebury, pre sunrise and watch as the sun rose on my first day there was just fantastic. (Mind you I did fall down an embankment into a stingy nettle patch at the same place / saved the camera, but had a numb leg for a couple of days from the nettle sting(wore shorts and tee shirt)Appreciate what you have, as over here in Australia, the history from a European influence is only 200 years old, and it does not compare. Whilst there I visited the home I lived in as a child, and learnt it was originally built pre 1400, as a Coach House, and that is not heard of over here. Look after what you have and don’t take for granted what is out there. The photos I will be downloading over the next days and weeks are going to be predominantly Infra Red, (Inspired by simon Marsden). Not that colour photos would not be good, but that I really felt that unless the conditions of light etc were not perfect, what I would shoot would never do justice to the beauty of the conuntry side.
Any in Aus that can get the chance to go, should do so. Stay away from the cities and hit the country side, its only 20 mile wide by 40 mile long :), only joking, but after being in Aus and travelling 300 to 400 KM to go somewhere for a day, the UK is an easy get around.
If I could pack up the history and country side, and bring it over here I would.
Having said all that. I am so lucky to live in this diversely different Australia, and would not trade it.
Any way, my work will start to upload soon.

    Thanks Andrew.
Nearly bought a Nikon Duty free.
    NOT.
It was great and now for all the download work. I did about 90 different castles in the time there.

    Thanks Kathryn.
Now all the download and touch ups start. It is a great place to visit, if you stay away from the cities.
