Breathing Under Water.

Posted about 2 years ago

Nearly gave up last week after wearing a 7mm wetsuit in the heated Casey pool left me with heat exhaustion, and I also swallowed water during our mask clear.
Today I went to Portsea for the first of two days of open water diving (tomorrows from t…

Posted about 3 years ago

Well I got the call today to tell me that my new camera order has arrived. After about 4 weeks overdue, with Canon failing to deliver as expected, and not sending out just bodies, but mainly kits, which meant they were not thinking about us current canon owners. But it is here now so with Christmas Eve tomorrow I have a trek into the city to Michaels Cameras to pick it up. The Guys in there have …

Posted about 3 years ago

Last night I bubbled a few people I knew, and the ever reliable Lindsay Knowles chipped inwith no hesitiation with 2 images, am waiting for oth…

Artists.

Posted over 3 years ago
There are 3 types of artist. You have a good artist, a bad artist and a bull

shit artist.
The good artist understands image quality, strives for their best and is always
prepared to learn and improve by keeping themselves informed, either by feedback given,

The bull shit…

Just completed uploading to my other web page (smug mug), the shots from the International Equestrian Endurance event that I just did the shoot of. They came out okay, and I have had heaps of hits on the images in it in one day. With a number of enquiries for purchases and requests to do shots for overseas horse sales. Infra Red Photography calibration and diffraction.

Posted over 3 years ago

I have made some comments recently re issues with infra red conversions. Here are the 2 points explained -
Calibration – Infra red light focuses at a different point to normal light. The old style cameras that you set the aperture on the lense, and focused on the lense, had a red line next to the normal focus line, which represented the mark that you set the focus of your lense to when using…

Sorry guys, I hit enter before I wrote. Doh. :)
“Determination”
Photo by Lindsay Knowles, words by myself.
Lindsay is one of the best MotoX photographers I have seen. This image of Lindsays is just so sharp, you need to see it to believe.
After mounting it for a club comp for Lindsay, i was just blown away, and put these words to it.
