Vision of the Past.
Taken one evening in one of the old alleys in Melbourne. using time exposure to give this ghostly effect. Image not adjusted in any way in photoshop, it is fully reliant on the understanding that light is required to produce an image in photography. With this shot, the exposure was approx 30 secs to achieve correct exposure of the alley. During the shot, I walked in, stayed still for approx 15 secs, then walked out. This gives a partial exposure of myself, at the spot I stood still at, but does not produce any image of me walking in or out, because I was not in any other given place in the shot for the time required to produce an image. Hope that makes sense.

Superb night shot Mark.
Could almost be the same street as my ‘Cobbles by Moonlight’ but half the planet away. :-))

I had a look at your image and the cobbles look the same type. This is one of the original alley ways from when Melbourne was built, so it would have the olde England style about it.

AWESOME Perspective draws me right up the alley! Fabulous exposure, very haunting!

Thankyou. Having done the ghost tour the week before, it let my creative ideas flow, and let me dabble with my time exposure, walk in, walk out mode.
