she came back like a newly born baby…
she came back to me…
... to her new life.
(drawing made of my daughter’s face when she was in comma, in the hospital. all i had was time to be by her side, so i made many sketches and this one i edited in photoshop)

here is another one for you I wanted to tell. My son picked this one out of my favorites, so I told him the sotry about you and your daughter, then he said “but it doesn’t look sad”. Then I realized thats right. you said you finished after she was out of coma and it shows your peaceful feelings. See.. art does not lie.

absolutely right dear Tokiko! and your son read it right, no sadness, art can’t lie. but strange enough, but i didn’t experiment sadness during the period she was in the coma. i was so focused on her, it was like there was nothing else in the world but her… even during the moments i didn’t know whether she would come back or not. i experimented brief sadness in three occasions, but i chased it away. i didn’t allow sadness to come in. and i drew and wrote a lot. when i treated it in photoshop it was almost two years later… i could only feel gratefulness and joy.
i know you understood it completely even before reading this. you read through art.

my daughter is very well now. it was crazy at the time, but now she’s just fine!!!
