THis is very beautiful. I love the colors and the silhouette adds a lot to the photo. Critique/suggestions: The first rule of thumb with photography is call the ROT’s. Go Here to read more about it. With this said, your sun is a bit too centered.
Second of all, I find a slight glare on the lens towards the top of the photo. One thing that you should get for your camera, if you don’t have one already, is a Circular Polarizing Filter. It will help with the glares as well as give you a lot better color to your images. Also a lens shade for help keep the glare from the lens. Normally they will tell you never to look directly at the sun when you take a photo, I personally like these types of photos, but popularity rules when they say not to take these types of shots. They would normally say to either wait till it’s not so hot/bright, or make sure you have a filter on your camera so that it doesn’t look so bright like this. It’s really all in what YOU like!
Otherwise, I like the thought process put into the composition here..I love that you caught the birds in the image too. Wish they were a bit bigger but… :) I hope this helps out a bit. I will do the critiques by bmail from now on… :) Hugz!!
