As with all important projects in one’s life it begins with the first step.

We are headed into that time of year where goals and the importance of them becomes more in the public light. There are many of us who each day there is a goal not a time of year for them. Each day to work past a emotional situation or physical situation due to conditions beyond our control. For each of you on your personal journeys I wish each of you to reach those goals. Each day I walk with friends I have never, met but have been blessed to know through the connection of art. Knowing that we walk on this path and although it may seem dark, even frightening at times, we are not alone in our journey. Also, I am blessed with friends outside of the art world who share this journey. Each of you I am thankful for. (video below & information)

The journey to creating this image was rather amusing. I was on a public, walking/jogging path. I was walking and counting trying to time my movements from the camera sitting on the ground set on a self timer. I was not using a hand held remote and due to the outdoors could not hear the self timer. So I am sure my movements were at times amusing between the set runs I did for this and other shots.

This was a new, way for me to work towards the achievement of involving myself in non-studio situations. Even though the weather is changing here, as we head into the Winter season, in the U.S. I have wanted to reach further outside of the studio into working in outdoor settings. This not only allows further for my own interests in hiking and nature but to bring a wider, range of images forth in other avenues to you.
