Freaking Adobe! by Dragonhide

Posted on May 17, 2009

So, in April I built myself a new computer… Windows Vista 64 bit.. I have Adobe CS2 Suite that I purchased at a considerable personal expense… (

Now, after using Photoshop CS2 on my new computer for weeks, I now get,

Error: “…user name, organization or serial number is missing or invalid… Photoshop needs to close now.”

Even though my username, and SN# is in the slash screen on startup!

Then I realized… I never deactivated the photoshop on my old computer.. It’s sitting under my desk powered off.. I know Adobe allows you to have 2 installs.. and one is on my laptop that I never use…

OMG, this is gonna be a pain in the ass :P

You can’t just uninstall Photoshop, you have to uninstall the whole damn thing (since its a suite) and start all freaking over with your custom settings…

I found Help>Activation where you can deactivate your install.. I’ve done that on my old computer..

Now I guess I’ll uninstall the whole mess off my new computer and start all over again.. I really hope it goes smoothly… without needing to use the damn phone.. It’s a pain in the ass for Deaf people to find someone to make the goddamn call or use an anarchic TTY (which I don’t even own anymore, thanks to the Internet :P )

Thanks for the warning BTW, Adobe.. (what warning???) very cool that you just break stuff like that. :P

Ok, i’ll quit bitching now.
