    Lumase

For what I can see, an appealing magnetic hand.

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you L – was interesting – I wasn’t quite sure if this image was ‘finished’. Now that it is ‘up’ – I’m a little more sure that it is, I think :)))

Funny thing I have ‘Break On Through (To the Other Side)’ by The Doors, playing the same time I see this pic of yours. Great combination of audio and visual :-)

  • DragonFlyer replied

It’s a great feeling when we can actually ‘see’ synchronicity of things alive and well throughout the world :)))

    hsien-ku

very strong work k! looks like i could just reach out and take that hand! and i can’t tell if you are reaching out or warding something off. such an impact this image has!

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you J! I admit I did actually consciously hope it would be an impression of both – or either -’ warding off’ or ‘reaching out’... Thank you so much for confirming for me that I have succeeded in that :)))

  • Jan Timmons

    Jan Timmons

RB featured this on page one of Art, K. Yes, I actually looked there, and yes, this evokes emotion, impact, and several stories or interpretations. Good, strong work. Particularly admire the portrait piece with all of the light and layers that you submitted to the non-challenge group.

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thanks so much Jan! I hadn’t even seen this was RB featured yet!!! Cool! And glad you like the ‘non-challenge’ one – that MAy be my fave of the series so far – but – I’m not sure… I find it hard to pick from my own series… – but it was certainly the best one for motion blur ;)))

    vampvamp

    very interesting…
what is that hand after i wonder?

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you – and – I agree, I wonder what it is ‘after’ too… is it to do with want or need – or maybe to do with the opposite – a fending off, or defensive move against something? I hope all these kinds of possibilities are present in the image :)))

    Matt Bottos

The whole Control series of images is amazing… this one is my fav though. The lighting has a mystical quality to it. As always, very emotive… you must know by now that I love all your work :)

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you so much for such a wonderful compliment Matt! It’s interesting – especially with this series I’ve come to realise that it appears much harder for me to pick a favourite myself, than it does for others… :)))

    strykermeyer

I’m always interested in that ‘limbo’ area between life n death (for instance), this seems to be in a similar place. Very beautiful piece

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you so much for your comment here strykermeyer – much of my work has links to some kind of conceptual investigation of that kind of ‘space’ – I’m so glad you can sense it here :)))
