Kallena, Kallena, Kallena… I cannot tell you how much I ABSOLUTELY ADORE this shot!!!!! Those tones and all that wonderful and interesting detail – SUBLIME – but what I love best is those buckles just peeping out between the bottom of the coat!!! Easy, easy, easy fave, sweetheart – more of this, please one’s not enough!!! lol :)))
DragonFlyer replied
O Colleen – you are so so wonderful! Your enthusiasm is so so encouraging to me… Thank you!!!!! And – I definitely do want to do more of ‘this kind of thing’... as I AM seriously working on my b&w photography skills… (and yes – they are pretty cool boots!)
Thank you again my friend :)))

Please drop by and join in the discussions.
Regards,... Jim
DragonFlyer replied
Hmmmm… thanks Jim! I hope many come to join in as I’m keen on input to improve my b&w…. though… I’m also thinking – this is the 3rd image of mine you’ve ‘stolen’ in a few months (lol)! Do you just like me a lot? ;)))
bev langby
yep sure do lol
DragonFlyer replied
Thanks Bev… I think many (if not all) of us do…

Jan Timmons
Not dressed as well as you! I can’t pull off the “look” in my woolies. Good tones, but I don’t see enough anger. More at Photography 101 forum.
DragonFlyer replied
LOL… I couldn’t survive without some leather (much as I disapprove of wearing animal skin where it’s not well below freezing…) I need it to ‘toughen up my own outer skin a little more…’
‘See anger’... well, I added a response to your more at the forum Jan, but I’m not sure I personally would want to express or convey more ‘anger’ than this… (o – this is getting WAY too serious)... I think it’s great you thought it was ‘cute’... so many times I think it’s ‘cute’ when a little kid chucks a tantrum… it’s just hard to hide from them that I do (lol)... Glad you like the tones :)))

Linda Bianic
love this imagery…... looking forward to more from you!
DragonFlyer replied
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Linda! I’m working on improving my ‘straight’ photography skills, so while there have been lots of my images that didn’t qualify for a ‘photography’ group (other than my macros), I hope there will be lots more in future :)))

Too often! You get the message across so well, almost too well, as if you’ve had too many days like this. Not good, my friend, yet so good for the way you’ve captured it! :D xxx
DragonFlyer replied
O Julia – I’m in an ‘ok space’ myself (mainly) now… Thanks for your lovely comment on the image – it’s a privilege to be able to draw on what you HAVE known to create art from it – you do that so well yourself… :)))

stunning!
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you so much Enno! I am trying very hard to learn and improve the quality of what I am capable of doing, while still concentrating on what I think is most important – conveying and communicating a sense of feeling – being able to ‘connect’ to viewers of my work :)))

Oh, Wow! Superb work….. Truly beautiful in every respect! I love this and your entire portfolio!!!!
DragonFlyer replied 8 days ago
Thank you so much Kenton! This was one of my very early attempts at black and white photography (with the help of the digital darkroom ;)
The back pages of this portfolio show ‘where I was at’ when I joined RB in January. Everything else has developed with the inspiration and help and support of members of this site since then. My art has taken over my life – and I think that’s the way it was always meant to be :)
