These are amazing, this is such a powerful series! I really love how much emotion you convey through the honesty of your pictures. Another brilliant shot! xx

Thank you very very much – this thing of ‘photos’ as opposed to just ‘composites’ is new to me – as I finally got some decent lenses… I suppose it’s also a bit more ‘threatening’ to put myself into a ‘photo’ too… I’m very very happy to hear that my images can convey some emotion – that’s what I ultimately try to do :)))
Julialala
You do it so well!! :D

Thank you very very much :D

another strong emotion image, k – love the suggestion of the jeans – they seem to lend her more power
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you so much nadine – yes, I was especially glad that I got JUST enough light for the ‘impression’ of the jeans to be visible… :)))

Wonderfully raw work, my friend – and, yes, the large view is absolutely worth viewing! It’s fantastic to see you coming out of your ‘shell’ more and more. Well done indeed, sweetheart :)))
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you my friend – this was a bit of a ‘challenge’ to do and post, I have to admit… :)))

I think you have this amazing ability to create strong emotional still lives with the tension in the hand and arm giving all of the piece its context without even the title… brilliant series you have here
DragonFlyer replied
Wow! I am incredibly honoured by your comment – Thank you very very much… I have some other similar posed images, they might ‘show up’ in time…

love it
DragonFlyer replied
Wow! what a ‘simple yet complete’ comment from you!!! I am struggling so much with the lighting – have no experience and no equipment for proper shots like this… I find it difficult to visualise where the ‘shadow and light’ will fall with no way to actually see and adjust it from a pose like this…

Yet you find the provoking poses which make your images superb
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you very much! If you have the opportunity and the time – I would very much value you opinion on 2 images that I posted recently – photographs of side-lit arms titled ‘Just… That’ and ‘Just… Imperfectly’. Again – because ‘straight photography’ of this type is so new to me… and I am truly after REAL opinions because I am interested in IMPROVEMENT…

done…

Thank you very very much. As I mentioned – very good info I can use.

Clare Colins
Very powerful image K. If I were feeling ‘down’ this would be exactly the image that would portray the feelings for me. Great work :)
DragonFlyer replied
Thanks lots Clare… I spose, when I take this kind of image, I do try to really ‘feel’ the feeling of what I’m trying to portray at the time… so in a way, it IS really real…

Matt Bottos

What can I say. Tremendous. You capture feeings so well. Very intense
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you. Yes – conveying feelings or ‘evoking emotions’ is what I try to do (though – have a look at the back end of my portfolio to see where I was at when I joined RB in January LOL…. nothing at all like this :))) RB has been a fantastic forum for learning and expanding :)))
