Thank you my friend! it was interesting how this pair of images just seemed to ‘make themselves’ almost! Occasionally that seems to happen and then I’m pretty confident they must be ‘right’ :)))

hsien-ku
really striking, lovely work – the blackness of her hair and the soft feathered shapes around her create a really dreamlike image in that autumn-space between sweet nostalgia and something darker . . .
DragonFlyer replied
Thank you j! This is a new style of image for me and I think that ‘space’ you describe was exactly what I was hoping to be able to convey :)))

Kris Faul
this is brilliant, love the yellow and the lines are brilliant!
awesome work, i love it!!
you should check out some of my work

DragonFlyer replied
Hi Kris – thank you very much for your comment here. I think I left you a reply once before, that I appreciate it is important for young artists to advertise and promote their work, but here on this site, I usually do anyway CHOOSE to check out the work of those I don’t already know who comment on mine. I find it off-putting to have someone post images of their work in the comments of my work, and a ‘request’ to look at and comment on your work in return for your comment on mine is more likely to put me off even looking at yours than otherwise. I do not play ‘tit for tat’ commenting or favouriting. I appreciate people commenting on my work if they REALLY like it – not because they want something in return from me. And, if I comment or favourite your work, I will do so because I find it, like it, and WANT to do so, not because you have commented on mine. I would appreciate you not leaving images of your work on my pages again. If you like my work – I am happy about that – if I decide for myself to check out your work and like it too – then that’s how it will be. Thank you
K
Ant Vaughan
Very good reminds me of Munch’s “the Madonna”...Very dark and ambiguos…
DragonFlyer replied
Wow! Big compliment to have any of my images remind you of a work of Munch’s!!! Thank you very much! I think ‘ambiguous’ is something I try for my works to be – so there is space for viewers to ‘see what they will’ – so big thank you again for that compliment as well :)))
Pip Gerard
so beautiful! the lighting and colour is perfect.
DragonFlyer replied
Thanks heaps Pip – I was kind of happy with the lighting cos it’s ‘layered’..... :)))
