this was an fascinating and intriguing work Kallena. The expression in the child’s face are very moving. Combined with the background ,blending and tittle, it raised some interesting questions and woken the curiosity.
So, brilliante work and a fav my friend

Powerful praise Bob – I’m very grateful for it. I hope to be able to evoke emotions with this style of image… there is a deep background to this type of work for me, and a long project for the future… maybe I’m getting somewhere… :)

How on earth did I miss this, Kallena?! This is achingly beautiful and sad, so very poignant – it almost makes me cry.

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you Colleen – really – more than I can say. I have ‘strong’ material to ‘work with’ – I hope my editing skills are developing enough to begin to bring it justice :)

Thank you again – incredibly high praise my friend! Though – in my eyes it is the type of image that many may not ‘want’ to really ‘see’...

K, this looks so haunting that I almost avoided it. Quite evocative – a good job of emotion in art and vice versa.

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thanks for the comment Jan – it’s a bit of a ‘double-whammy’ as of course I don’t want people to ‘avoid’ my images – but on the other hand, if it trully is ‘that powerfully haunting’, then I think I must be on the right track of what I hope to express with this – so thank you for visiting to let me know that! thank you lots – K x

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thanks Clare! i found it super hard to get the ‘blending’ here as I wanted it… still not too sure how well that worked… but I have another ‘similar’ image in mind for whenever I can find the space to get around to doing it… :)))

This sweet face but such a sad image is so strong…deeply powerful….highly emotional, ...pulls feelings from my gut that make me re-experience great sorrow for the gazillionth time on a very personal level. Had to fave this one.
This is truly fascinating & really wonderful work…I suspect cathartic..(no need to clarify)..

  • DragonFlyer replied

Thank you very much for your deeply heartfelt response to this image! I am very glad you have a strong response to it – but terribly sorry the response for you is a ‘re-experiencing’ of such deep sorrow.
