Cheetah In The Urban Jungle

It’s all just a game….
A game of waiting.
A game of courtship.
A game of dating,
Or a game of mating.

Quietly, seemingly innocently,
I look for Love.
Sitting at a café
Nestled between sandstone façades
Of the monoliths above.

This time round, the prize –
Is a blonde that caught my eye.
On a day much like today,
With browning leaves…
Beneath a light grey sky.

Time is passing,
Like the people walking past.
Where is she?
Have I missed her?
Did I get here not as fast.

My second coffee finished
And my cigarette case now empty.
My prey elusive – This round is over.
But in this city…
The girls and opportunities are plenty.

    Nestled between sandstone façades
Nice imagery of a concrete jungle, and a jungle cat on the prowl.
A game of cat and mouse
