Scarlet roses have come into bloom. / Return my dear, be in my arms soon. / Return and kiss me like in those distant days, / Remind me of roses; beautiful always
This time round, the prize – / Is a blonde that caught my eye.
A crowd gathers around a fallen husk, / Veins of blue cease their flow, eyes absent.
The dress is right, for tonight must be different, / A whole new chapter, not just a turn of a page.
If I leave without saying a good bye, / Do not think it’s because I didn’t care. / I thank you for all you’ve done— Now I’ll try… / To save, or at least delay, your despair.
