Profile
Hi, My name is Yianni. I was born in the Greek Island of Kefalonia and I am now Living in the United States. This is a sample of my art. I work with acrylics, oil and colored pencils. I indulge in portraying a type of mysticism in all things or I indulge in exploring issues like social injustice or moral hypocrisy through some type of hidden commentary. In that spirit some of the paintings you see contain within them subtle images that communicate the meaning behind the painting. I often use metallic paint due to its light reflective properties and mystical qualities. It provides the illusion of movement and a kind of constant metamorphosis as it dances with the changing moments of the day.
