David, Love this image~ I have seen this design in other parts of the world, Calcutta, India, has one with no rivets, only bolted together…
Of note: we had a bridge like this in the Province of Quebec, Canada. It spanned the St. Lawrence River near the town of Levis. Seemed, it wasn’t to spec and collapsed with quite a few workers who died. The steel is used to make a ring, for all the graduates of the Engineering Program in Canada; as a reminder to be diligent in their work.. I believe this to be true.. My stepson is a chemical Engineer and has attained the status, to recieve this accolade…
