On a recent trip to New York i came across these padlocks on Brooklyn Bridge – the story goes that a young couple come to the bridge where the man proposes, and when the proposal is accepted the couple write their name on a padlock and lock it to the bridge and toss the key into the river. All very romantic i say. And it makes for an interesting photo subject too.
