This beautiful tree was my first photograph of 2010. I walked across a field to watch the distant firework celerbrations for the New Year. I couldn’t resist capturing this beauty… Never did see the fireworks!

What a wondeful capture! Is that the sun or fireworks? Either way, I love the depth of this shot. Happy new year (better late then never!)
Thank you for your kind comment Filipa. Believe it or not, Its the moon, it was so magical.

This is such a beautiful shot. Wonderful scenery up there.
Your right there James, Its beautiful up here. Thank you for your kind comment.
Technical a very good piece of work. Not easy to get right first time. Bet you had several shots before it was right. Great depth of field.
Thank you for your kind comment and “yes” I took about 20 frames, ranging from 30secs to 3mins. It seems a lot longer when you are waiting for the Noise Reduction to do its stuff.
This is wonderful! Much better to look at than any fireworks! Love the shadow in the snow. You definately started 2010 on a high.
Wow, you certainly have set the bar high for yourself for the rest of 2010! beautiful and a real impact shot
