Liberty
Not many people know it but Paris has its own Statue of Liberty, which is a smaller replica of the New York one (1/4 scale). It was offered by the American community of Paris to the French people in 1889.
Taken at dusk (this is the sun not the moon!).
No treatment apart from conversion to black and white.

Douzy this is purely and utterly brilliant – right to the top of my favourites list for your images – the mood you’ve created here with the way you’ve caught the light and is that the sun in the frame behind the cloud – just doesn’t look like a moon – and the composition Carumba!!

Great composition and tonality. The sun captured perfectly and sets the tone of the image. Love the gradations of the tones from dark cloudy sky to bright middle and than the black tones of the people, statue, rails and the tree. Well captured and lit.
