A woman buying produce at an open air market in Copley Square, Boston, is “guarded” by no less a personage than John Singleton Copley himself. Copley, a portrait painter of the colonial period, is famed for his iconic images of such notables as Samuel Adams and Paul Revere. I don’t usually take a lot of tourist pics, but for some reason this one seemed to me to be the essence of Boston.
