For many years it has been a dream of mine to live in a world without money.
I was hoping that the recent collapse of the global monetary system would be enough to wake everybody up and see that a money based society just doesn’t work; it’s time to replace it with a technology based one, where everyone would have enough food and shelter and energy for heat, etc.
However, the people who run the world governments (I’m talking about the elite rich, not the politicians) would rather see ridiculous financial bailouts on a scale that is, to me, appalling!
Recently it has come to my attention that there is, indeed, an international movement which is synchronized with my dream to live in a world without money.
This movement is call the Zeitgeist Movement.
I would suggest that, if anyone else is interested in the history of money and how we might be able to live without it (and the horrifying, deplorable consequences of the actions of people who love money), then spend the time to watch these 2 two-hour documentaries;
I HIGHLY recommend them!

I have to read this asap, as I’m really interested in how this could be done…I imagine it won’t be like the dreams of the 60s and 70s, as I can’t see that would appeal to everyone……
I have to agree that money as top object for acquiring some pretty unecessary things for society over the last couple of years was pretty much over board. I was watching some of the parents purchasing presents for kids at xmas and many of those technology devices, though fun to use and play with, were apt to be outdated or just old stuff in a matter of months…. which kind of makes you think about just how necessary some of these products are to our daily lives and all the ‘real ’ things these kids are missing by being glued to their game boxes….. just a thought but
if you gave them all a box of lincoln logs or leggo’s would they know what to do with them? and they cost about one tenth as much and on the upside promote the imagination !
money is a convenience; a convention. If you stop to think about it, money is not necessary to live — what good would money be to you if you were stranded on a desert island? Could you eat it?
Let’s stop the INSANITY!!!!
