watercolour on Arches 12″ × 16″ rough paper

Aguasabon Falls is about a 15 minute drive from where I live and I’ve been thinking about painting it for a long time now.
This approach is a departure from my usual attention to detail. Instead I have gone with the mood and general uplifting feeling one gets when viewing the Aguasabon Falls and Gorge, especially for the first time.

Located between the towns of Terrace Bay and Schreiber, Ontario, on the north shore of Lake Superior, Canada.
