I’m back after a hiatus of about 6 months during which I have concentrated on commissions.
This view of the Slate Islands from Jackfish Bay shows a moody autumn sky close to the ghost town of Jackfish Ontario, Canada, on the north shore of Lake Superior.
Doug you really amaze me how you get the sparkle on the water. When I do it,it doesn’t,t look like anything it should
I used a combination of knife scratching and masking of the bright white surface. The paper was 300 lb and easier to scratch than the 140 lb. Also the painting is larger than I normally paint, so the sparkles look smaller!
