It’s amazing to compare two paintings of different time. But firstly i thought you upload photography to show the place of previous painting. Both are really nice Douglas.

  • Thanks, Hidemi. I always appreciate your comments.

This is really cool Douglas, to be able to compare the two scenes at different times of the day. But it’s like I tell my students there are no wrong colours or incorrect shadows in outdoor scenes because it changes with every second of the day. Very good, I’m really impressed.

  • Thanks, Jim. It was a fun thing to do!

I would like to be able to paint like you do !
Also, I love the idea of 2 paintings of the same place at a different hour of the day. Both are quite stunning with the colors, from bright to pastel… Ontario gives you the best inspiration ever ! Must be a pleasant place to live and to create…..Have a good week-end. A bientôt !

  • Merci, Corinne. Vous êtes très gentils.
Oui, je crois que l’Ontario est vraiment très inspirational.
    A bientôt.

well……. I like the later one – the shadows on the side of the building are really nice! and I like the colors on the violet rock cliff

  • When I painted the first one I was influenced by another artist I had found on the net, but now I can’t even remember his name or find the web site!
