Hays Lake

Hays Lake, a 5 minute drive down HWY 17 from my home, then a few kilometers down a deserted dirt road.
It is isolated. There is a peacefulness that so often surrounds the lakes found along the north shore of Lake Superior. Once in a while one hears the whistle of a Canadian Pacific freight train as it passes near the highway some distance beyond the lake.
