Douglas Hunt
Profile
I can remember painting as soon as I was able to hold a brush. I loved to watch my Dad paint when he was alive, and now I find that painting is meditation. I paint because I love to paint.
I’ve also actively taken photographs since I was 8 yrs old. I used to process my own B & W in the basement with my Dad.
So my whole life has been about painting and photography.
Right now I’m concentrating on painting landscapes along the north shore of Lake Superior.
I’ll probably get back to other subjects sooner or later . I love painting portraits, too, but for now the landscapes are my passion.
I find music to be inspirational and I love a wide variety of genres, including cajun, folk, blues, jazz etc. I love the lyrics of John Prine, Tom Waits and Bob Dylan among others.

Philisophical Musings
When we take a good look at the desire for material wealth we find that the people who apparently have it all still want more. The desire never stops.
