we found these ponies on the moor 1600 ft up, near cow green resevoir top of the north pennines the source of the river tees poor things in freezing cold and wet weather, (this is mid summer here?) didn’t stop the palomino getting fruity with the foal!

the north pennines are “an area of outstanding natural beauty” andd has unesco european and global geopark status

the river tees, is the border between County Durham(Land of the Prince Bishops) and Yorkshire
