great catch, I live not far away from this, and often visit Upper Teesdale. We got some good ones of it in full spate too. hugs

welcome hilary and thanks for the comments! somebody whispered white force the other day, do you know of it? gonna be coming up there again before long armed with extra flash guns for gibsons cave!
hilarydougill, about 1 month ago
Don’t really need flashlights for Gibsons Cave, it is very easy to see and photograph, the best shots are from behind the water looking out. It is a great place and a lovely walk to it. It is also part of Raby Estates. You can tell which farms and houses belong to Lord Barnard, they are always painted white. There is Cauldron Snout beside Cow Green Reservoir, higher up Teesdale, past high force.it is gorgeous there, but there is no white force.High Force and Low Force, Cauldrons Snout and Gibsons Cave. There is a small waterfall at the beginning of Gibsons cave, perhaps that is the one they mean, but as far as I know it does not have a name. You will have to let the Northerners know when you are coming up, perhaps we could have a meet. take care. hugs

i know all the others, but it was mentioned, and sounded a bit of a trek. i’ll put that one on the back burner for now, and excuse me, i’m a northener!! lol.

it was quite dark in the cavern when we were there last week, lots of sun coming in above the fall, found it hard to photograph, and our flash guns though powerful, failed to give enough cover.
