Cheers David, your support and comments have always been gratefully received and I thank you for the many compliments that I have been lucky enough to receive. I apologise in advance for ‘not having enough time’ to answer as properly as what I would like to do. This image I worked with was with the wonderful Octobernoire, a fine model. We were working in a boat on the Thames, down in the hull and it was cramped for space but still gave us many opportunities I think. It’s the same location as in ‘Sirens Song’ , ‘Cabin Fever’ and ‘Stowaway’, some weirdo maritime themes that I thought up. Lighting was with just one flash, a 150w Quantum fitted with a smallish softbox and grille. I think a ‘speedlight’ / camera flash would have had the same effect. I did try to place a reflector opposite the flash for some bounce, but not as much as I would have ideally liked (I wanted her face to be partly visible as well…...) The beauty of working with smaller flashes (apart from cost) is that they are powered by batteries and are very flexible on location. I use wireless flash triggers.

Love the curvature emphasised by the lighting – soft curves hard light great contrast!

Doug – a wonderful work and a very erotic pose. I love the way her amazing buttocks jutt slightly backwards because she is wearing high heels. She sems to be waiting expectantly for something – a spanking perhaps?? A very sexy photo. well done, I love it.
