Admit it – you’ve thought of it :-)
This was an exercise in mixed lighting. The screen is both a picture element and a light source and the laptop and sword needed to be evenly lit and balanced to the screen.
The primary light source is a panel flash above and to the right, set to not produce glare on the screen. The secondary light is a SB-600 flash on a sync cord low and to the left firing across the keyboard. The tertiary light is a ring flash on the floor firing straight up lighting the sword.
Exposure was set for the screen and the flashes provided environment light.
