I was up early in eager anticipation of a sunrise but was met with a thick mist.

Never one to be put off I headed for this location not too far from my home. I had seen it some time before but just beyond the mist in the image is a metal barn which spoils the view. I had been waiting for thick mist to transform the scene into the one you see here.

I love the softness of the colours and shapes created by the mist and the symmetry leading the eyes into the centre of the shot
