    we get them here too on superior – but with the weather being so extreme you see them when you are lucky because the next day they are a gone gone gone

    We probably do have more of a chance to see this on the smaller lakes. As much luck, as anything, to find this. We got bored on the first point were at and, on a lark, decided to follow a trail we were on a couple of days before. Spotted “something” through the trees and pressed on a little farther. Glad we did. :)

    This one has cooler temp and I can’t decide, but love both shots! Creative angle.

  • These two pic were taken less than ten feet apart; this one facing north and the other more westerly. Quite a difference.
    I can’t decide which I like better either, actually. lol.
