Rushing River Bridge by

Rushing River Provincial Park is located about 40 km east of Kenora, ON. It’s claim to fame are the falls, right at the entrance. This little bridge allows walking access to the opposite bank.

Looks like a wonderful place Stan! Great shot! :]

  • Thanks, Tracy.
It is a nice little park. Camped there a few times when the kids were small.

Nice capturer of the movement of the river.

  • Thanks, Mary. The water is moving fairly quickly there so some motion blur is reasonably easy to get, even in the late afternoon.

So beautiful Stan. I will have to visit again. I didn’t see Rushing River for at least a couple of years.

  • Thanks, Teresa.
I like going back there. I do find it quite a challenge to photograph though.

A beautiful delivery. For what it’s worth: I live by the Washougal River in Washington State. Washougal means Rushing Water.

  • Thanks, lucin.
Kind of a small world, isn’t it? lol.

Beautiful shot Stan, can almost hear the water rushing by. There’s a group about Bridges that it would fit as well. Cheers!

  • Thanks, George. Maybe if you’re driving by you can pop in there. I think it’s only like 8 miles off the Trans Canada on Hwy. 71 (Fort Francis turn off).

Lovely shot, Stan. I agree with John, great shutter speed. Can I ask what speed you used?

  • Thanks, OB !!
This shot was taken at ISO 50; f 8; 1/30 sec. @ 40 mm equivalent focal length. A 3 stop ND filter was used to reduce the shutter speed.
