Peter Sutcliffe (b. 1946) is one of Britain’s most infamous and detested serial killers. Better known as The Yorkshire Ripper, he brutally murdered 13 women in Yorkshire and Lancashire between 1975 and 1980. Captured in January 1981, Sutcliffe served 30 years in prison until 2011, when the Home Office decreed that he should never be released. He is currently interred in Broadmoor.
