Another etegami in my Daruma Doll series. This one is part of a sub-series that throws together Daruma Dolls (representing the male members of the family) and Matrioshka Dolls (representing the female members of the family). I painted this one to celebrate my upcoming wedding anniversary, and as a gift to my husband.. This verse from Ecclesiastes was the theme of our wedding ceremony 35 years ago.
marriage, vows, promises, anniversary, wedding, husband, wife, faith, scripture, ecclesiastes, wisdom, holy spirit, faithfulness, bible, family, community, love
I am a professional Japanese-to-English translator and an Etegami artist. Etegami is a traditional Japanese folk art that combines thoughtful words with simple images painted on washi paper.
