Realio Trulio Daggers on His Toes (Dragon Series) by

Inspired by “The Tale of Custard the Dragon,” a sweet and funny poem by Ogden Nash, this etegami is the first in my Dragon Series, which celebrates 2012 The Year of the Dragon.

Etegami is a traditional Japanese folk art that combines simple images with thoughtful words. This one was painted with sumi ink and water-soluble gansai mineral paints on a soft washi card.

    Yes.
I am of Polish stock, but since I was a child I have been interested in all things Asian….my parents don’t know why. My fiance was Chinese (he died), and I am pretty familiar with many Japanese and Chinese customs and traditions… ever more so!
I celebrate the Lunar New Year and now it is the Harvest Moon time…. in China, they would be making don. he he :)))
