Asparagus is one of the agricultural products that my area of Japan is known for. I love their form, and I never tire of painting them when they start growing each spring.
This is an Etegami painting on a soft washi card. Etegami is a traditional Japanese folk art that combines simple images with thoughtful words.
Materials used for this piece are sumi ink, gansai paints, and absorbent washi cardstock. The drawing tools I used are a natural reed quill pen and a natural fiber Japanese coloring brush. Dimensions of the original work are 10cm x 15cm (approx. 4” x 6”).

As a Christian, this should be all of our goals, to not hang on to past sins or past accomplishments, we just lay it all down and press on toward our perfect righteousness in Christ to receive that prize one day when we meet Him face to face!
Thumbs up! :)
