Horseshoe Crab caught in BP Oil Spill by

This is one of a series of Etegami I drew for the Ripple Project, to help raise support for the NPOs which were trying to rescue the wildlife caught in the mess of the BP Oil Spill.

Materials used for this piece are sumi ink, gansai paints, and absorbent washi cardstock. The drawing tools I used are a bamboo quill pen and a natural fiber Japanese coloring brush. Dimensions of the original work are 10cm x 15cm (approx. 4” x 6”).

Blessings to you for contributing your incredible art work for such a great cause!

  • You are sweet to say so. It was an honor to contribute, and it ended up being a maturing experience for me as an artist too.
