This Etegami illustrates a haiku by the Japanese poet Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828).
Materials used for this piece are sumi ink, gansai paints, and absorbent washi cardstock. The drawing tools I used are a bamboo quill pen and a natural fiber Japanese coloring brush. Dimensions of the original work are 10cm x 15cm (approx. 4” x 6”).
