Dent Head viaduct was built to carry the Midland Railway’s Settle to Carlisle line in the 1870’s.The line was a major engineering feat.Dent Head viaduct lies between the other fine viaducts at Ribblehead and Arten Gill and is separated from the former by Blea Moor tunnel
