Arazona Mountian

I gaze out of my window each morning to see the sun rising above the moutians, such a beautiful site. The mountian seems to soak up the sun and it begins to lighten up with life. In Arizona you expect dry lifeless sand, dessert sand. But I have discovered life on the dessert floor, as a few drops of rain causes it to turn green. The mountians have a green hue that reminds me of emeralds shining in the sun.

As I sit with my coffee, on my deck, out the back door, I see the clouds drift across the sky. The mountian seems to dance as shadows take on a life of their own. Sometimes it looks as if a fire has consumed the mountian as the shadow from the cloud floats buy. It appears chared black and then as the sun begins to shine on the same spot, as the cloud drifts by, the mountian comes to life again, the chared blackness gone.

Seeing the green I can imagie animals scurring around from clump to clump looking for shade and a bit of juicy green to eat. Knowing there are critters burrowed into its sides, seeing holes from a distance, I often wonder what is making its home inside this great giant of rock and sand. Knowing that the bits by themselves, the pebbles, the grains of sand, the bits of plant life, the critters inside, of themselves are nothing much to think of, but put them all together and you get a majestic mountian that is beautiful to look at, fun to climb, and a riot to go four wheeling on.

I never knew Arazona Desserts could be so beautiful, so ever changing, so inviting. I long to watch them, experence them, appreciate them, and hoping they are always there.
