Today was a strange and a sad day for me.
I lost both my dogs on the same day. Haplo was 11 years old and ailing since November but still enjoying life until yesterday. So we took him to the vet this morning and buried him in our little forest. His great pal, Donna, was 13 years old, full of the joy of living, only a little stiff in the joints. This afternoon she played with the two young dogs and then walked to the garage to welcome my husband home. The next moment she just keeled over, kicked twice and died. So, we dug another grave next to Haplo.
It is so strange, losing them both on the same day. I’m going to miss them.

Oh I am SO sosrry. I empathize with your loss. Two at once is so strange, but perhaps they were intended to stay together. Quite possibly Donna would have been too sad without her friend. The hard part is for us, to stay behind and grieve. Take all the time you need to begin to heal. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

I am so terribly sorry for you; my heart goes out to you…...my dog now pushing nine years old also has arthritis and is ailing….......to loose both on the same day is mind boggling…but I agree with Ginny….they must have been meant to be together! Big heartfelt hugs!

What a terrible loss. Pets are one of us and make us so happy. One at a time is such a loss, but two is even more devastating.

SO sorry for your loss . . . . I’m sure you feel like a big chunk of your heart is missing . .. ... but what a beautiful love story . . . Donna must have been truly connected with Haplo . . . I pray that they’re enjoying a good romp together. (If my mate of 35 years walks on, I hope I’m lucky enough to be right behind him.)

I feel for you, Dorothy. We had two cats do that. One didn’t want to live without his buddy.
