This wonderful capture of a family of Oriental Small-Clawed Otters Edinburgh Zoo was taken by a young friend of mine, Brogan, who is 13yrs old!! I let her have a go with my Nikon D3000………….I think she did Very well!! Edinburgh Zoo Dec 2011 I have an update……May I introduce Broganbee The person responsible for this work AND my new profile pic!!!:-)
What a marvellous capture by young Brogan! Kids can really surprise you with their perspective on things. I got Colin his first real camera (a wee Canon Elph APS) when he was 5 and some of his shots were amazing. Then there was the 35mm SLR with a 28 to 100 and 70 to 300 when he was 8. Now he’s using my old Sony Alpha 100 DLSR!
I work with her Dad, so I was ’Santa’s Helper’ on a choice of camera. I also took her to see the pandas as I was given ‘staff privileges’ !!! I gave her my camera (much to her surprise) and told her to “do what she wanted” lol In return I got a HUGE hug……….payment indeed .
Ray says ‘So that’s what Herdwicks look like without their overcoats….’ But seriously, folks. Way to go Brogan. This is a definite keeper!! Or maybe they need a keeper.
She had never seen Otters on land before…..so I got these Herdwicks to have a haircut !!! Thank you very much on her behalf My friend x
Super shot Dorothy, Brogan has done a great job, like the new profile pick BTW, all the best my friend.
Thank you very much my friend, I am sure she is going to be really, really happy and encouraged by all the positive comments :-) P.S. She did the new profile pic also lol.
