    love this but being honest I think the foreground distracts from the wonderful clouds, I covered the road/fence/river what ever with a card and wow the hill and cloud were fantastic,

  • Thank you for the suggestion. I think you’re right. Will give it a go. It’s just that I don’t like cropping usually. But watch this space. :)

  • Just tried the crop but can’t get to a satisfying result… if I take the road off something seems to be missing… so I’ll leave it for tonight.

    Beautiful work, Dorit. I don’t think the road distracts at all. The cloud is such a strong feature it almost needs the road to act as a visual counterpoint… you could probably make a much more meditative version without the road, but I like the tension in this…

    I’ve tried cropping the road out but the picture didn’t resemble the vision I had when I took it. I too think that the man-made straight lines of the road against the natural shape of the cloud seem to compliment each other.
    Btw. I’m glad you like it the way it is.
