A large secondary school level book will be needing the following images. There’s something for everyone here; it doesn’t matter what country you are in, you will find something for you to photograph in this extremely varied and challenging list.
IRELAND
The Blarney Stone, Ireland
ITALY
The Fountain of Trevi, Italy
MALAYSIA
Tasik Dayang Bunting, Malaysia
PHILIPPINES

A long straight road in the North American Mid West.
US white male (30s-40s) professional, sitting (preferably alone) on a bench in a railway station looking pensive, nervous, worried.
Photo of a 19th century Cree Indian, in the wilderness, desolate landscape
GENERAL
A powerful image representing the concept of feeling “alive” – someone/something bursting with energy & vitality. Suggestion: plant life showing growth, green, new leaves.
Two formal middle class family portraits from two very different places (culturally and geographically). One to be European, one to be Middle Eastern or Asian. They should be suitably stylish with their best clothes etc. They could be B&W or duo-tone but both should be the same. We don’t want one to look poor or deprived, and they should present a contrast of cultures showing two proud families through their portraits.
A photo to use as background with the theme of genealogy: study of families, family history, a family tree.
Humorous photo showing an (overly) optimistic attitude, such as an elderly man/woman with a young bride/groom on their wedding day. To avoid the stereotype perhaps an elderly woman and young man?
Someone doing a marathon in a crazy costume (e.g. dressed as a chicken or something)
Something connected to health, wellbeing. An animal image such as gambolling lambs; wild horses (e.g. Dartmoor ponies or silver brumbies) running wild and free across the moors.
A wet dog enjoying shaking itself with spray flying in all directions;
A cat rolling and luxuriating in the sun.
A water tap or a pump with water dripping or gushing
A very dramatic, dark image of a partial eclipse showing part of the earth and the sun/moon.
Photo of a centipede. Its legs should be apparent.
Photo of a whale, could be a breaching whale or a tail fluke extending out of the sea.
An elderly dowager type with an ear trumpet.
Shakespeare’s signature showing different variations of spelling.
A homemade sign with a spelling or grammatical mistake (e.g. a hitchhiker’s sign; a shop sign offering POTATOE’S etc.)
Misspelled graffiti
The theme of a moral dilemma. A powerful image showing strong views/convictions. Suggestion: someone getting a message across to an audience/public, really strong/ardent/angry (but not too much!), e.g. Ramsey MacDonald or similar.
A modern organic farmer, sowing seeds, tending crops.
A super-intensively cultivated agricultural scene. Huge fields, uniform crops, en echelon harvesters etc.
News reporters at e.g. an airport, a gaggle of reporters waiting to interview someone arriving. Should give the feeling of a real news frenzy.
Someone reading a newspaper. Looking very engrossed/interested.
News commentator with a microphone.
Photo of a flock of birds.
Wild atmospheric shot of the sea – wild coastline, rocks
Underwater photo with sharks and other fish
A magic trick such as cutting a person in half, or making someone disappear etc.
A card trick
An escapologist being either put into something or escaping from it.
A creepy country mansion – probably B&W and gothic, dark, creepy.
Father and child/children. i.e. nurturing and contradicting the usual stereotypes of fathers.
A person or a group wearing name badges as at work or on first meeting.
A seating plan e.g. for a wedding or a formal dinner party. The photo could take a detail of the card, place setting etc.
Names carved in architecture, such as the Sainsbury wing at the National Gallery in London.
A young girl (5 or 6 years) of any nationality wearing an over-sized pair of high-heel grown up’s shoes
Contrast of generations, i.e. how the older generation has to get used to the new technologies and how they don’t always find it easy to adapt to.
An image showing an older person trying to use something with great difficulty/unsuccessfully, e.g. a small child showing an older person how to do something.

Miron Abramovici
Toda raba for posting this.
You need to be a member first. How long is their acceptance process?
Dorit:
Hi Miron,
I used to be a member years ago. I don’t think images are screened before publishing. As long as they are reasonably printable.
I know some member with loads of photos made quite a good living out of it. I’m NOT advertising for fotolibra… just thought it might be good info to pass on… and there is a trial membership too.
