silent night

Empty street on an early morning after heavy snow fall in Lauter, Saxony, Germany. It had been snowing for 4 days. I used flash to capture the falling snow flakes. (Canon EOS 50D)

This is an ART for Cancer image. 50% of net sales proceeds got to Cancer Research UK.

I love this, and memories of snow in Germany are very strong for me,

Driving into Hamburg one winters evening, as we rounded a bend on the Autobahn and Hamburg came into sight, draped in snow and with the lights coming on all over the city, one of the band members was singing This and it has always stuck with me, so much so that I raely play the version in English now

thank you for posting this Dorit, beautiful image
