Beautiful !!! You should apply it for the group “Lines” – the is new competition going on: abstract and three colours/colors lines i.e. abstract image showing predominant lines and containing a minimum of 3 different colours.
    Good luck!

Congrats on being featured in the lines group,I didn’t know it was from you,it’s superb, love the colors, may I ask what is the panning technique.

  • Dorit replied

    Hi Gigi.
Thank you so much. Such a surprised to be featured again.
You normally use panning to freeze a moving object. Means you move the camera while taking the picture, selecting a slow shutter speed to keep the moving object in focus and blur the background. However I like to use this technique on all sorts of objects to create an abstract effect. Just find an interesting object and start experimenting with different shutter speeds. It might take a while until you get the result you are after. I normally shoot with 1/40s and move the camera upward very fast. Be careful, you can get hooked to it. :-)
    It’s also explained here
